British steadily lose interest in real estate in the occupied part of Cyprus. On  July 23 according to the  Turkish Cypriot newspaper ¬ Halkin Sesi. Many British who have bought land and homes in North Cyprus North Cyprus begin to leave because of the high cost of living and the unrecognized status of Northern Cyprus.
From all living in the occupied area 95% are British. From 23 thousand objects in the real estate, only 40% were exhibited during the last 5 years, and 15% of the objects prices were down to 20%.

According to materials Halkin Sesi newspaper pick of sales was in 2004-2007. However, after a scandal case of Orams family, people  become suspicions  of buying a property in Northern Cyprus.
Recall that in 2004 the Greek Cypriot refugee Melitis Apostolidis submitted to the International Court family Orams, building their a villa on his land. Judgment was passed for execution in England, which decided to demolish the villa and return the territory to its owner. Just under court family Orams were ordered to pay all court costs and return the owner of all the money spent on rent his property
